A Suica card is the best way to pay for your trains in Tokyo and around Japan. Here's a walk-through of how to top up an IC card at the ticket machines in Japan, including how to change the language to English, paying by cash and what to press. After that I'll show you how to purchase a card from the automatic machine - it saves a few yen compared to buying from overseas. There's also a new Welcome Suica for foreigners.
